PRS Guitars and Chevrolet Motorsports Partner on Race to Win Corvette Sweepstakes

As part of PRS Guitars’ seventh season as the exclusive guitar and amplifier of International Motor Sports Association (IMSA), PRS is teaming up with Chevrolet Motorsports on a season-long sweepstakes that will give one Corvette Racing fan the experience of a lifetime. Effective March 3, 2016 fans can enter for their chance to win an official 2016 PRS SE IMSA Trophy Guitar specially made for WeatherTech Championship races and awarded in Victory Lane, a 2016 Corvette Stingray Coupe, and a trip for two to the 2017 Rolex 24 At Daytona race.

PRS Private Stock April Guitar of the Month Model Takes Flight

For April, PRS is releasing the DGT “Birds of a Feather” Semi Hollow model; a vintage-appointed guitar that is all about the details. Based on the original McCarty model, the DGT (David Grissom Trem) adds a signature neck shape, taller frets that sport larger gauge strings, custom-spec’d pickups, and a unique control configuration. Only twenty of these instruments will be made for April 2016.

PRS Guitars Debuts Two New Metallic Finishes

Paul Reed Smith Guitars is adding two new metallic colors to its US-made guitar lineup: Champagne Gold Metallic and Frost Green Metallic. The new metallic finishes utilize various sizes of metallic flake resulting in a shimmering opaque finish that shows off the contours of the guitar while reflecting light in a show-stopping fashion.

PRS Looking Positive after Winter Storm Causes Roof Damage

Jan 26, 2016

After more than 24 hours and a foot of snowfall compounded by high winds and snow drifts, the PRS Guitars factory in Stevensville, Maryland sustained roof damage over the weekend. The damage was near the company’s staining/finish area, where some water pooled inside the building and a small portion of the roof did eventually collapse. Thankfully, no manufacturing operations were under the compromised portion of the roof.
